She and William had five children: Avis Muriel (b. 1918), Howard Lindsay (b. 1920), Sydney Hugh (b. 1922), William Humphrey (b. 1926), and Shirley Edna Parker (b. 1929) — who married Murray John Telfer.

She died on 1 January 1957 at North Adelaide, aged 66, and is buried at Shannon Cemetery (Calomba Methodist Cemetery), Long Plains, in Section East 4 South, Plot 4S.
