David Lyndon Telfer was a son of Reginald Masters Telfer and Elma Ellen Martina (née Pugsley) of Ungarra, on the Eyre Peninsula. He was a grandson of Francis Charles "Charlie" Telfer and Amy Ellen Provis.

Life Summary

David Lyndon Telfer was born in 1957 at Tumby Bay, the younger son of Reginald Masters Telfer and Elma Ellen Martina Pugsley. He married Kathleen Meredith Hancock on 21 May 1977 at Magill, South Australia.

He and Kathleen raised a family; their first child, Ryan David, died in infancy in December 1982 at the age of ten months and three weeks. The couple went on to have four further children — Simeon, Jordan, Michael, and Angelina.

David died on 28 January 1996 at Tumby Bay, aged 38, and is buried at Tumby Bay Cemetery, Plot L48. His headstone carries the inscription:
