Life Summary

Eva Agnes Farrow was the youngest of the ten children of Charles Farrow and Elizabeth Hannah Telfer of Hope Farm, Finniss Point, near Tarlee, South Australia. She was born on 16 October 1877.

She married Walter John Hookings at the Baptist Church, Tarlee, on 25 January 1911 — she was 33, he was 29, and his father was George Hookings. They had two children: Laurel Mary, born at Bridgewater in 1911, and Donald Jack, born at Port Lincoln in 1916.

Eva died on 28 April 1956, aged 78, in the District of Adelaide, and is buried with her husband at Enfield Memorial Park, Clearview, in the Rose Garden Burial section (Row J, Site 10). Her death registration names her husband as the relative. (Most of this branch is buried at Tarlee Cemetery beside her parents — Eva is the exception, buried with Walter at Enfield Memorial Park.)

Her son Donald Jack Hookings was killed in 1943 when his RAAF Seagull crashed off Bowen, Queensland.
