Life Summary

Lloyd Wilbur Telfer was born in 1913, the son of Rev. Ernest John Telfer (the missionary author of Amongst Australian Aborigines) and Florence Nicholas.

At the time of his marriage in November 1941 his parents were living at St. Leonards, on Sydney's north shore — the newspaper notice describes him as the "younger son of Rev. and Mrs. E. J. Telfer, of St. Leonards."

He married Muriel Grace Crespin on 8 November 1941. He died in 2001 at Warrandyte, Victoria, aged about 88.

(Lloyd Wilbur is the only one of Ernest's four children confirmed by independent records. His three siblings — John Ernest Jr, Jessica Veronica, and Gweneth Miranda — remain unverified and are flagged for the family to resolve.)
