This woman's name is printed Marion May Telfer in the family book From the Borders to the Bush (p.285–6) and on the Tantanoola headstone, and her birth register gives her birth as 21 April 1901 at Tantanoola (SA Birth Book 676/Page 5, father John TELFER, mother Martha Clara HENSTRIDGE). The earlier vault form Marian, born ~1896, traced only to an unsourced WikiTree profile (Telfer-725, "abt. 1896") and is withdrawn. Three sources — the printed book, the headstone inscription, and the civil register — agree on Marion and on 1901. The page title keeps its current form until the site name change is made; the fact is corrected here.

She married Kenneth Cornish on 21 June 1924 at Gumeracha, South Australia. The wedding was announced in The Chronicle (Adelaide) on 28 June 1924, describing her as "Marian, youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Telfer, Tantanoola" — confirming both her parents were deceased by that date (John died 1913, Martha Clara died 1921).

She died in 1977.
