Family Stories
Murray was the ninth child of Francis Charles and Amy Telfer, the youngest of the boys. As a small boy he held out his finger to his brother Reg and said "cut it" — and Reg did, with a pair of scissors. He later married Shirley Edna Parker and together they raised three sons: Darryl William, John Robert and Grantley Keith, and also had daughters Kathryn Mavis and Susan Shirley, plus son Timothy Neil.
