Life Summary

Sabina Triplett was born 18 October 1870 at Kapunda, South Australia, the daughter of Thomas Triplett of Cornwall and his wife Martha Harris (daughter of William Coleman, known throughout the records as Martha Colman) of Glasgow. Her birth is confirmed by the South Australian birth registration, Book 88 Page 371. On 26 March 1896 she married Francis Telfer Dillon (1864–1942), a sharebroker with a seat on the Adelaide Stock Exchange and son of John Charles Dillon and Elizabeth Beattie Telfer. The marriage was solemnised at the residence of JW Barrett at Eastwood, South Australia, by the Methodist rite used by the family.

She and Francis raised their family in Adelaide. Francis died at Mitcham on 26 April 1942; Sabina outlived him by nearly nineteen years. The state death registration records her death on 18 February 1961 at Port Lincoln, aged 91 and widowed. Supplement 2008 gives 18 February 1968 at Adelaide, aged 97 — see Notes for the disagreement.
