Life Summary

Janet Dunlop was born in Scotland in 1811, the daughter of Robert Dunlop. She married John Lawrie on 20 February 1835 at Riccarton, Ayrshire, Scotland.

The couple had eight children in Scotland, four of whom died in infancy. In 1853, the family emigrated to South Australia, where Janet survived her husband by 14 years.

She died on 17 January 1902 at Alma, South Australia and was buried at Alma South Public Cemetery alongside her husband John.
