Family Stories
John Roland Telfer was the ninth child of John and Martha Telfer. He never married, but formed a particularly close bond with his sister, Clara Lane, and her family. He would spend every Good Friday and Christmas Day with them, becoming a much-loved fixture at their family gatherings. His warm relationship with Clara and her children speaks to the strong family ties that persisted among the Telfer siblings long after they had grown and left home.
