Flight Sergeant Trevor Andrew Thomson (Service No. 436777), No. 460 Squadron RAAF (RAF Binbrook, Lincolnshire). Killed in action 2 March 1945 when his Lancaster bomber was lost on a raid toward Cologne during the Allies' push to the Rhine.

Life Summary

Trevor Andrew Thomson was born at Thebarton, South Australia on 20 October 1914, delivered into the Telfer line through his mother Isabella Lucieton Telfer, daughter of John Telfer (1840–1913) and Martha Clara Henstridge. Isabella married Alexander Brown Thomson in July 1911; the couple raised three children — Roma, Trevor and Murray.

Trevor enlisted in the RAAF and served as a Flight Sergeant with No. 460 Squadron. He died on 2 March 1945 when his aircraft went down on a mission over Germany, aged 30. He has no marked local grave; he is commemorated at Hotton War Cemetery in Belgium and on the AWM Roll of Honour.
