Life Summary

George Hope Farrow was the son of Charles Farrow (d. 1884) and Elizabeth Hannah Telfer (d. 1916). He was born at Finniss, in the Alexandrina Council district of South Australia, on 1 November 1872. At the time of his death he was living at Grosvenor-street, Glandore (a suburb of Adelaide).

He married Caroline Stanton in 1895; the couple had five children, born between 1896 and 1909.

George Hope Farrow died on 3 May 1919 at the Yorketown Isolation Hospital, on the Yorke Peninsula, during the 1918–19 influenza pandemic. His death notices recorded that he died "of pneumonic influenza" aged 47, and that he was interred at Yorketown. He was buried at Pink Lake Cemetery, Yorketown.
