Life Summary
Jane Murray Farrow was born 17 April 1857 at Chain of Ponds, in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia, the daughter of Charles Farrow and Elizabeth Hannah Telfer. Through her mother she is a direct descendant of the first-generation Telfer immigrants Francis Telfer and Jean Murray, who arrived in South Australia aboard the Prince George on 26 December 1838 — making Jane a key anchor connecting the Farrow line into the Telfer family tree.
She married Alfred George Stribling around 1885. The couple had three recorded sons: Arthur Clifford "Cliff" (1890–1918), Lindsay Ellis (1893–1979), and George Charles (1898–1988). The family was associated with the Tarlee / Finniss district and later lived at Rutland Avenue, Brighton, South Australia (the residence recorded for son Cliff's WWI service record).
Death
Jane died on 14 March 1934 at Brighton, Holdfast Bay City, South Australia, aged 76, and was buried at North Brighton Cemetery on a joint family headstone with her husband Alfred, who had predeceased her in January 1928.
