Life Summary
James Telfer Dillon was born in 1861 at Kooringa, South Australia, the eldest son of Elizabeth Beattie Telfer and John Charles Dillon. He was named after his maternal grandfather James Telfer (1796–1863), following the Scottish naming tradition of passing the surname as a middle name.
