She married English-born William Richard "Dick" Easter on 11 April 1913 at the Presbyterian Church in Hawthorn. They raised two children, Bob and Joyce. She died on 17 May 1974 and is buried at Dudley Park Cemetery, Dudley Park, South Australia.

🖊️ Anecdote — as told in A Telfer Family Tree (p. 306): When Eva's parents Adam and Margaret left Tantanoola for Adelaide in 1908, the district farewell party moved Eva so much that she boarded the train clutching her young son without looking back — a scene also recorded in From the Borders to the Bush (pp. 272–275).
