Life Summary
Margaret Parker was born on 16 December 1857 at Virginia, on the Adelaide Plains of South Australia, the fifth surviving child and second daughter of David Parker (1822–1888) and Isabella Kelly (c. 1825–1867). Her mother died in July 1867, when Margaret was nine years old; her father remarried Clementina Minto in 1871 and had three further children.
Margaret died on 19 September 1885 in the Hundred of Pirie, aged 28 — eight months after her elder sister Agnes, who had died in the same district in January that year. Her father David was again the informant on the registration. She died unmarried and left no children.
