Floris Ethel Victoria Telfer was born in 1904, the eldest of seven children born to Mark Telfer (1877–1946) and Julia Matilda Seebohm (1876–1939) of Tantanoola, South Australia. Her siblings were Ken, Mel, Jean, Joyce, Maifie and Lindsay.

She married Harry Bunston and they had one daughter, Jennifer, who married Alwyn Chant. Jennifer and Alwyn had three children — Terry, Graham (who married Gaye Frost), and Belinda.

In her father's obituary, she was listed as Mrs. T.C. Bunston (Floris) of Tantanoola.

Family Stories
