Lindsay Roland Telfer was born in 1920, the youngest child of Mark Telfer (1877–1946) and Julia Matilda Seebohm (1876–1939) of Tantanoola, South Australia.

He died in 1976.

Family Stories

Lindsay Roland Telfer was the youngest child of Mark Telfer and Julia Matilda Seebohm, born in 1920 at Tantanoola. He married Bonnie Peck, and together they had four children — Pam, Barry, Graham and Lorraine. Lindsay was an active member of the Tantanoola Pastoral, Agricultural and Horticultural Society, serving as its President from 1961 to 1963. During the Second World War, he served in the Army as Trooper Lindsay Roland Telfer with the 2/8 Armed Regiment. He died on 3 July 1976 at the age of 55 and is buried in Tantanoola Cemetery, where his headstone bears the inscription: "With the Lord."
