Biography

Charles Masters was born 30th June 1809 at Brownsover, Warwickshire, England. He married Martha Williams on 6th August 1835 at Aston le Walls, Northamptonshire.

He emigrated to South Australia with his family on the Templar, arriving 24 November 1845. The family farmed at Flaxman's Valley, Angaston — his property was known as Wroxton Grange.

Charles died 4th June 1866 at Wroxton Grange, Angaston, aged 56. He is buried at Angaston Old Cemetery (plot 69).

Family

Daughter Caroline Amelia Masters married John Telfer on 22nd September 1874 at Tarlee — she became the matriarch of the Willow Plains Telfers (Great-great-grandmother).

Charles and Martha had thirteen children (see Relationships).
