Martha Ann Masters was born 20th July 1839 in Warwickshire, England, the third child of Charles Masters (1809–1866) and Martha Williams Masters (1814–1896). She emigrated to South Australia with her family on the Templar, arriving 24th November 1845.
Martha Ann married John Radford (1834–1902), a farmer of Clare, South Australia. She died 28th November 1912 and is buried at Clare General Cemetery with her husband.
