Biography
James Masters was born 27th December 1846 at Payneham, South Australia — the first child of Charles Masters (1809–1866) and Martha Williams Masters (1814–1896) to be born in the colony, following the family's arrival on the Templar on 24th November 1845. He died 3rd January 1847 at Adelaide, aged just seven days.
